We’ve Been Here Before

Been Here Before!

Well, we’ve been here before! Of course that happens all the time with some places, but this hasn’t been one of those places.

And, since it’s so tight here, I’m glad!

Out-Of-Route Trailer Drop

After delivering our loaded trailer in Manteca, we’ll have to drive 30 miles out-of-route to move an empty trailer.

Why? At the place we’re delivering to in Manteca, we must remove an empty trailer after dropping our loaded one; you can see why in the video.

We can’t bring an empty trailer to the place we’re picking up our next load at, so we ‘re taking the empty to another shipper that needs, or has room for, an empty trailer.

Versus Live-Load and Live-Unload Deliveries

It sucks that we have to do this extra driving, but it’s still better than having to sit through a live unloading and then a live loading procedure, each which can take a couple of hours, on average.

So, while this extra driving adds about an hour to our journey plus extra fuel usage, it’s two to four hours less than live-loading and unloading operations.
