Today’s Adventure

High Winds While Crossing Water!

We have to deal with some high winds today!

It’s really just a problem while crossing a tall bridge over a large body of water; but it’s uncomfortable thinking you could be blown off the bridge by a large gust of wind!

Lathrop to Santa Clara

We’re starting out where we left off last night; in the bob tail parking at the Lathrop Flying J Travel Center.

We’ll head around the corner and up the road a couple of minutes and hook an empty trailer at a nearby Schneider drop yard before heading to Santa Clara.

Benicia-Martinez Bridge

After picking up our load in Santa Clara, we have to head north.

We encounter high winds while crossing the Benicia-Martinez bridge over the Carquinez Strait.

Unexpected Freezing Cold Temps!

There were some unexpected cold temperatures during the drive in northern California last night as well as this morning in southern Oregon.

There was no parking at the Pilot Travel Center in Klamath Falls, Oregon last night so we had to push on another 25 miles to the Crater Lake Junction Travel Center near Chiloquin, Oregon.
