Scenic Salt River Canyon Picture Day

Scenic Salt River Canyon

It’s picture day at the scenic Salt River Canyon rest stop where you’ll get to see some pretty awesome Arizona scenery!

An Arizona Desert Drive

But first, we’ll drive through some nice desert scenery around the Phoenix area and then up into the higher elevations of Tonto National Forest; a forest of saguaro cactus! This is also where we’ll drive through the Queen Creek Tunnel.

Superstition Mountains

You’ll also get to see the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix; site of the famous Lost Duchman’s Gold Mine!

After spending the day driving across scenic Arizona, we’ll stop for the night at the Walmart in Grants, New Mexico so I can do some shopping in the morning.
