Where Is Area 51 From Here?
No, we’re not going to storm Area 51; I just thought you might be interested in where it is in relation to today’s journey.
Starting Out in Ely, Nevada
We’re starting the day in Ely, Nevada and we’ll be heading south to Las Vegas before heading east to Kingman.
Area 51 is about 140 miles southwest of Ely (see the map below.)
We’ll get much closer to Area 51 as we pass through Alamo, Nevada, which is less than 40 miles, as the turkey vulture flies!
The Extraterrestrial Highway and Area 51
Before we get to Alamo, we’ll be passing the south end of Nevada Highway 375, also known as the Extraterrestrial Highway, which heads off towards Rachel, Nevada, which is UFO central for Area 51 enthusiasts.
Not Going to Storm Area 51
We won’t be storming Area 51 today, or any other day for that matter, because we’ve got to get this load delivered and then drive back home to Las Vegas.
Also, I don’t want to get arrested or shot!
