Low Tire Pressure Issues While Hauling Paper Rolls to Kansas Through Pennsylvania and Ohio

Friday, August 18, 2017

Paper RollsToday we’re rolling through Pennsylvania and Ohio as we continue on our journey to deliver paper rolls from Maine to Kansas.

During my pre-trip inspection I discovered that one of the tires on the trailer had very low air pressure.

This required attention before heading out for the day, or risk a blowout on the freeway!

What I’m Reading Today:

The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer

The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer

An intriguing story about serving on the Eastern Front as told by a young soldier.

Guy Sajer shares what German boot camp is like before being sent to the Russian front for years of bitter fighting.

I first read this book (twice) many years ago when it was only available in paperback, but it was recently released in audio format and I quickly downloaded it so I could listen to it while driving.

I found it just as engrossing!

I also, from an older perspective, found the message about the horrors and futility of war to be poignant.

Next Video:

Road Construction; The Never-Ending Story

We start the day in Brazil, Indiana and work our way across Illinois and past Saint Louis, Missouri before losing daylight.

In Illinois, east of Saint Louis, we run into the same freeway shutdown as we did a few days ago while traveling the other direction. This time we’ll just drive through Saint Louis and avoid all the side roads in Illinois.
