Forklift Operator Swapping out Pallets Before Loading my Truck

This is a procedure I’ve never seen before; swapping pallets that already have product stacked on them.

I didn’t even know this was a thing.

The blue pallets are owned by CHEP (Commonwealth Handling Equipment Pool) an international company dealing in pallet and container pooling services.

Shippers and receivers all over country are clients of CHEP, however, the place I was delivering this load was not a CHEP client, so the pallets had to be swapped out.

This shipper prepares hundreds of pallet loads in advance, so whenever they are shipping to a non-CHEP receiver, they have to swap out the pallets before loading them onto the truck.
